The Governing Board of the Enlarged Partial Agreement (EPA) on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe meets on Wednesday, 1 April 2020 in Mondorf-les-Bains (Luxembourg). On this occasion a representative of the European Association of the Via Francigena ways is invited to illustrate the activities carried out and to discuss the Report by Professor Alessia Mariotti, who is in charge of the evaluation of the maintenance of the label “Cultural Route of the Council of Europe” of the Via Francigena and the carrier network of the EAVF. The EAVF appointment with EPA is scheduled at 16.40 on 1 April 2020.
The EPA will also ratify an extension of the certification to the Via Francigena in the South, which was unanimously (with recommendations) approved by the EAVF General Assembly on 19 October 2019 in Bari.
The Governing Board consists of representatives of the 33 Member-States, including France, Switzerland, Italy and Vatican.
 The intervention on behalf of the EAVF will be carried out by Christian Schülé, the member of the EAVF Bureau and president of the Association du Chablais (Aigle, Vaud, CH), as he already did before in 2016. Â
