The April 1 will be an important day for the history of the Via Francigena.
In fact at the hostel “La Torretta” of Viterbo will take service the first volunteer, which is part of the Spanish Organization “Hospitaleros Voluntários“, already managing more than 20 hostels along the Camino de Santiago. It is the culmination of a dream, and an important step for the partnership with the Spanish Organization, that the Association “The Slow Movement” started in 2010 with the first course of Monteriggioni, work continued with two courses in 2011 and will continue this year with two new courses.
Giovanni Balzaretti has worked hard for this project, and now with Luigi Nacci is agreeing with the Spanish coordinators the use of volunteers from around the world along the Via Francigena. This year the other hostels involved in the project will be Aulla and Altopascio. As usual in all structures the payment will be offered.
