Podere Valserena can be reached both by car on the Via Cassia (Via Cassia Sud 2858) and by foot/bike from a panoramic route deviating from the Via Francigena, indicated by specially placed signs: after Quinciano at the pedestrian crossing of the Strada Provinciale di Murlo (43°12’14.0″N 11° 25’53.5″E), you can take a panoramic route that passes by Podere Valserena; the same panoramic route passes through the Curiano’s hamlet and rejoins the Via Francigena before Ponte d’Arbia (43°11’03.2″N 11°26’42.7″E )

Podere Valserena is located on a classic Tuscan “poggio”, in the heart of one of the most evocative landscapes of the Crete Senesi, between Monteroni d’Arbia and Buonconvento. An ancient farmhouse surrounded by greenery used as a restaurant, pizzeria and, recently, also as a newly renovated guest house.
Restaurant-Pizzeria: Family-run for over 20 years, the restaurant-pizzeria has simple and genuine cuisine that allows you to rediscover the flavors and recipes of those peasant realities that have now almost been forgotten.
The main feature of the restaurant is the huge exposed grill. Cooking with real wood embers enhances the flavor of the meats offered.
Furthermore, every evening you can enjoy excellent pizzas cooked in a characteristic wood-fired oven. During the summer period, an external veranda is also set up which overlooks a large tree-lined garden with a view of Siena.
Guest house: The apartment and the rooms have been carefully renovated following the original architectural basis, respecting local territorial traditions and finished in a rustic country style and inaugurated in November 2023. On the first floor of the building there are six rooms. On the ground floor, in front of the restaurant, there is the apartment called the “Casina di Quinto”
