These baths have a relatively recent origin: an earthquake in 1349 caused the leakage of sulphurous water springs and, after some time, it was discovered beneficial effects of water for skin care, rheumatism, respiratory and digestive systems. In 1877, the engineer Eduardo Minieri began the enhancement of the small 21-years factory.
