Since November 21st, 1986, the department of the Haute-Saône, Champlitte in France and the municipality of San Rafael in Mexico are coupled. Both cultures have strong links, since the departure first inhabitants of Champlitte towards Mexico in 1833.
It is around this real human adventure based on the exchange that is going to be celebrated all year round this anniversary.
The events included : exhibition, colloquium, concerts, literary meetings.
Depuis le 21 Novembre 1986, le département de la Haute-Saône,Champlitte et la municipalité de San Rafael au Mexique sont jumelés. Des liens forts se sont tissés entre les habitants et les territoires depuis les premiers départs de chanitois vers le Mexique en 1833. C’est autour de cette réelle aventure humaine basée sur l’échange que va être célébré tout au long de l’année cet anniversaire.
Au programme : exposition, colloque, concerts, rencontres littéraires.
Un punto di ristoro per i pellegrini che percorrono la Via Francigena passando per San Miniato. E’ quello che hanno pensato i coniugi Maltinti quando hanno avuto l’idea di posizionare un piccolo banco in via Parini a San Miniato Basso che, con il passare del tempo, è diventato sempre più fornito. I due “ristoratori” ogni mattina utilizzano una borsa frigo per mantenere fredda l’acqua e mettono a disposizione dei viaggiatori anche merendine e frutta fresca, tutto gratuitamente. “Da quando abbiamo il banchino – racconta la signora Maltinti – sono passate moltissime persone che hanno apprezzato la nostra iniziativa e hanno lasciato la loro firma riempiendo un intero quaderno”.
Il Sindaco Vittorio Gabbanini e l’Assessore David Spalletti hanno voluto portare i saluti e i ringraziamenti dell’Amministrazione comunale che ha messo a disposizione le mappe di San Miniato e un opuscolo informativo sulla Via Francigena. I pellegrini che passano da via Parini potranno condividere le foto e i momenti del loro viaggio sulla pagina Facebook, Piccolo Ristoro di Via Parini, accessibile anche cliccando il QR code direttamente dal proprio smartphone.
A resting point for pilgrims traveling through San Miniato on the Via Francigena. Just as the Maltini husband and wife had thought, their initiative to provide a small bench on the via Parini street in San Miniato Basso, has, over time, become increasingly more welcoming.
The generous couple go out every morning to leave out cold water, snacks and fresh fruit for travelers – all for free. “Since setting up the bench – says Mrs. Maltinti – many people passing by who have appreciated our initiative, leave their signature which now fill an entire book. “
Mayor Vittorio Gabbanini and Member of Council David Spalletti extend their thanks to the municipal administration which provides maps of San Miniato and an information booklet on the Via Francigena to pilgrims.
