On the last section of the Via Francigena nel Sud,  we walk from Lecce to Santa Maria di Leuca, the Finis Terrae, discovering important Christian monuments and even more ancient pagan worship locations. An exciting itinerary across ancient roads, relaxing villages and countryside, exploring the history and culture of this corner of the world.

The itinerary along the Via Francigena in Southern Italy is easily walkable for everyone who is used to walk somewhat long distances. The length of the daily stages is between 15 and 26 km, with moderate height difference and easy paths that can be covered in 3 to 6 hours.
The hikes will pass thorugh white roads and small countryside paths, with few indispensable passages on traffic streets.
We suggest to prepare with comfortable hiking shoes, hat, water, sunscreen, bathing suit and waterproof jacket in case it rains.
