Via Francigena. The Road to Rome

VFF03 - From Guines to Licques

Total length
16.5 km

When you enter the domanial forest of Guînes, pay attention to the column Blanchard, conmemorative monument to the first crossing of the Channel sea by airship in 1785.

Guînes is the 78th step of the historical route walked by Sigeric. In Licques, you will find an abbey and, if you get there in early December, you'll have the opportunity to take part in one of the one hundred most gorgeous traditional French feasts: the Turkey Day. The local topography forms a small ridge.
