The route continues among the enchanting views of Val d’Orcia. The first attraction of the day is Vignoni Alto,
a village untouched by time that precedes Bagno Vignoni, including an extraordinary thermal pool in the square. The visit to the city centre of  Castiglione is worthwhile.

The beautiful descent towards the valley leads us to Le Briccole, an ancient Hospital now abandoned. Before and after the hospital you need to pay attention to three fords, one after the other, the first of which can be particularly demanding in case of heavy rain.
The same goes for the Formone stream, near the fork for Radicofani: this can be avoided walking on the Provincial Road, to later join up with the route past the bridge. The ascent to Radicofani is very demanding, but it is rewarded with the beautiful surrounding landscape.

Water and road-houses in Bagno Vignoni and Gallina (coffee bars 500 meters away from the route, in Via Cassia).
