From San Miniato we descend to Val d’Elsa, and through a flat itinerary we arrive to Castelfiorentino. Right after Castelfiorentino begins an uphill trait until the Pieve in Chianni, submansiones of Sigerico,the rectory of which was converted into a beautiful hostel, in Gambassi Terme.

After Gambassi we ascend again to cross the SP 4 Volterrana, which we take towards San Gimignano, enjoying the extraordinary beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
