Dry cookies that are synonymous with solemn celebrations as they are always served on Sundays or for special occasions, made with hazelnuts grown on the Cimini Mountains. The hazelnuts come from the local cultivar “Tonda gentile romana” planted between the 1950s and 1960s in the Cimini Mountains district, which quickly became the predominant crop in the agricultural economy of the province.
