"Francigena cycle path, the economic opportunities of cycling in the Area of Siena " is the title of the conference scheduled for 12 December 2019 at 9.30 am at the Conference Hall of Palazzo Patrizi, Via di Città 75 in Siena.
The appointment is aimed at tourism entrepreneurs in order to seize the opportunities of a rapidly growing sector, as today is cycling tourism. The conference will also be an opportunity to learn about the free training course dedicated in particular to accommodation facilities, organized by the Municipality of Siena in collaboration with other Municipalities of the Via Francigena, Tuscany Region, Tuscany Tourism Promotion, European Association of the Via Francigena Ways and the Industry associations.
The day will start at 10 am with the institutional greetings of Andrea Corsi Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Siena, Francesco Tapinassi Director of Tourism, Trade and Services, of the Tuscany Region, Francesco Palumbo Director of Toscana Tourism Promotion and Sami Tawfik Project Manager, European Association of the Via Francigena Ways.
After the opening, the Councilor for Tourism of the Municipality of Siena, Alberto Tirelli, will talk about "Terre di Siena, destination of excellence for cycling tourism". The Bikeconomy in Italy will be analyzed in the speech dedicated to "Cycle tourism as a driving force for Tuscany. Perspectives and good practices" by Alice Marmorini - Hotel Marketin Manager and cycling expert. To follow, at 11.45 am, Paolo Bonari, Service Department of the Municipality of Siena, will share "The Terre di Siena Slow project", while, at 11.30, the theme of "Welcome of the cyclist, solutions for accommodation businesses" will be addressed with the report by architect Massimiliano Biagi. The conclusions will follow.
